Bluetooth has been with us more than a decade from now, and several weeks back they came up with Bluetooth 5.0. We use Bluetooth for streaming music to a Bluetooth speaker and we use it to provide a seamless connection with devices for transferring contents from one device to another.
And we can easily find out what version of Bluetooth we are currently having on our devices..it can Bluetooth 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 but the newer versions just have a faster pairing time and some minor improvements like low power usage and that’s it.
But now we have Bluetooth 5.0…so what’s new in this update..
- 2x Faster :: In this version of Bluetooth, the pairing time is twice as fast than Bluetooth 4.x and also there is less delay compared to the previous versions.
- 4x Range :: With Bluetooth 5.0, you can use it as far as 200M! away from your phone that’s a big improvement compared to 50M which was integrated in Bluetooth 4.x. That means you can keep your phone upstairs and go down to the first floor with no loss of Bluetooth connection which is totally insane.
- 8x Data :: Usually we can only connect to one Bluetooth device at a time but now with Bluetooth 5.0..you can connect to TWO DEVICES at a time to cast your music from an audio source via Bluetooth which is totally unbelievable but that’s true.
So that’s what is new in Bluetooth 5.0 but this version is only available with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus currently but in the near future we can expect it on iPhones and many other phones which are yet to come!
Thanks for reading!
Have a good day ahead!
